New Plymouth Photography Club since 1938

The aims of the club are:-

  • To promote the enjoyment, mastery and advancement of the photographic science and art in all its applications and in particular by organising lectures, demonstrations and tuition.
  • To encourage and facilitate friendship, co-operation and the exchange of information and ideas on photography amongst the members of the club and elsewhere.
  • To hold and/or promote competitions, exhibitions and salons of photographs in colour and monochrome whether within the club or otherwise.
  • Photography and encourage members to acquire new skills by getting the most from their camera gear plus becoming proficient in image editing and printing.
  • We endeavour to do this in a friendly, social and enjoyable environment.
  • Over the course of a year the club offers members there are a range of activities, including monthly competitions, teaching/education, outings and guest presenters.
